Hello Lovelies,

We give thanks to our indigenous ancestors, and pay homage to the Lenape people where we stand on Turtle Island. As the sonics and songs of the insects and birds are fading with ever growing extinctions we chant for more souls to awaken to Mother Earth’s callings. It takes a global village to protect this planet, and that does not happen through power and control, but through love, awareness and taking action from ‘click-tavism’ too putting bodies on the line, do what you can. And as always we lead with love rather than giving into the hate, and we dance it out, which is also a form of taking action! The more we dance the more we will connect to one another and to Mother Earth. Dancing is forever the antidote to the paralyzing effects of lonliness, fear and repression. We give thanks to the annual New York Dance Parade (2025 happening May 17th) and so many others who have fought for our right to dance by ending the racist cabaret law once and for all. They recently achieved another milestone, removing the zoning restrictions on dancing. And we’re not finished yet, next is to make it a 1st amendment right, check it all out and sign the petition.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Nomade Orquestra - Terceiro Mundo - nublu records

Ten musicians make up the Nomade Orquestra hailing from Sao Paulo Brazil. It’s their first album release in 7 years, and 5th that they consider their 3rd in a trilogy and reflected in the title Terceiro Mundo (released on Nublu Records whose entire catalog is now available on Bandcamp). While recorded in one take, it captures the soul alchemy of decades jamming together as one on the funky, soulful, and groovy tip. It’s an epic jam session packed with intention, and as per the groups philosophy on instrumental music, it’s “something that can pomote internal revolutions in people without the need for speech”. Enjoy, and if you dig it, you best become a regular at Nublu. It’s a place that continues to breath with the life force of the NYC underground. A place that is owned and operated by a musician, Ilhan Ersahin, a hidden gem in the East Village worth the trek to Avenue C. Check out their annual NYC Nublu Winter Jazz Fest kicking off December 2nd. They also produce a jazz festival in Istanbul and Sao Paulo.
