Hello Lovelies,

We’re in the midst of re-tooling LSL. Call it a digital re-construction facelift. This past summer the platform we used for this newsletter dissolved. It’s been a journey exploring new options. We’re going to give Beehiiv a go moving forward. Newsletter services have grown since we began this weee newsletter back in the ‘90s. The goal is to expand the newsletter into a magazine format and offer you more. Yours truly, Jeannie Hopper, will be expanding it to include music & cultural spotlights, tech tips, stories from the past, present & future (I’m tapping into my Jeannie powers on that one 😉 ") , events and more.

For this premiere newsletter on our new platform I’m sharing a DJ set that you can download and enjoy without dealing with spotty wifi connections. Also, you have the option at the upper right corner to ‘read online.’ It will take you to the start of a newsletter/website hybrid. Save the site to your browser and check in on what’s the latest LSL News rathe than scrolling thru your emails.

Now get out and VOTE if you haven’t already! It’s a biggy, but it’s finally here. Do not be dismayed if the election takes longer than expected to certify…shenanigans are afoot. Breath, be kind, lead with a smile and give a hug… it’s ok to ‘agree to disagree’ but we can treat people with dignity and respect and not fall prey to the ugly that’s emerged to exponential proportions leading up to the election. We feel you!

Big thanks to our community of supporters via Patreon. Every little bit goes a long way. Our super peeps help us to support an entire ecosystem of music and cultural busy bees dedicated to soulful music, dancing and culture.
